Police: Firearm Threat Alleged in Traffic Dispute

Victims say suspect brandished a firearm during altercation at stop sign, according to Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

Three people allege they were threatened with a firearm during a traffic altercation in Sterling, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. Thursday in the area of Thomas Jefferson Drive and Frederick Drive.

A driver and two passengers told police they were at a stop sign when the horn honked from the car behind them. The victims pulled over to the side of the road and were reportedly confronted by the other driver.

At one point, the other driver allegedly brandished a firearm, according to the LCSO. The other driver has been located and the case is under investigation.
