Police Helicopter Aids Search for Missing Man: ICYMI

Loudoun County police called in a helicopter from Fairfax County on Thursday evening to help search for a Sterling man diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.

The man was reported missing at 5:45 p.m. after he failed to return from a walk, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s deputies conducted a search of the area, in the 500 block of Garfield Road, with the assistance of the Fairfax County Police Department helicopter. The search ended at about 9 p.m., when the man was located by his caretaker in good health and returned home, police said.
