Inmate Returns After Being Released Too Soon

Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is looking into how the miscalculation occurred.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office has located an inmate who was inadvertently released early from the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center, according to an LCSO release.

Christian A. Hernandez-Galdamez was serving a 92-day sentence for assault on a family member and violation of a protective order. He was released Monday night, 38 hours short of completing his sentence.

Hernandez-Galdamez contacted authorities around 5 p.m. Tuesday to turn himself over to authorities. He was returned to the ADC without incident to complete his sentence.
