Police: Sterling Stabbing Suspect Is At Large

Victim taken to hospital after Thursday night incident: Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

Loudoun County sheriff’s deputies are searching for a suspect who stabbed a woman during an argument Thursday night as they were driving in the Sterling area.

The woman fled from the vehicle and was taken to Inova Fairfax Hospital with serious injuries, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office. She remained in the hospital on Friday.

The suspect was identified by sheriff’s deputies, but had not been located as of Friday, according to the sheriff’s office. The office did not release the suspect’s name or place of residence.

Deputies responded at 9:40 p.m. Thursday to the 46900 block of Woodson Drive in Sterling after several witnesses reported seeing a vehicle pull into a parking lot and the woman flee from the vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle then fled the scene at a high rate of speed. The woman was determined to be a victim of a domestic-related assault, the sheriff’s office said.
