Update: Suspect Arrested in Ashburn Bank Burglary
Local man allegedly broke in to Wells Fargo early Sunday, says Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

Loudoun County sheriff’s deputies arrested an Ashburn man Monday in connection with a break-in at an Ashburn bank early Sunday.

Jonathan L. Marks, 27, was charged with burglary with intent to commit larceny, possession of burglarious tools and destruction of property, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office. He’s being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on no bond.
The break-in at the Wells Fargo bank was detected when sheriff’s deputies responded at 4:12 a.m. Sunday to an alarm at the bank, in the 42900 block of Eastern Kingbird Plaza. Marks allegedly damaged an ATM and entered the bank before fleeing the scene on foot as deputies arrived, the sheriff’s office said.

Deputies set up a perimeter in the area and searched it with a K-9 unit (a trained dog with a deputy), but they didn’t find the suspect. Marks was identified as the suspect through the course of the investigation, the sheriff’s office said.
