LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Deputies in Loudoun County are investigating a possible shooting that may have occurred in Sterling on Wednesday morning.

No injuries have been reported, but deputies are checking local hospital for anyone suffering from a gunshot wound.

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office has not released a suspect description in connection with the shooting.

Around 5 a.m. on Wednesday morning, witnesses reported hearing gunshots in the 700 block of W. Church Road in Sterling. The witnesses said they saw two people leave the area after the gunshots.

Deputies are still searching the area and are asking anyone with any information to contact the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office at 703-777-1021.
