In Sterling on Friday night, a man told police that a driver pulled out a gun after yelling at him, the sheriff's office said. The incident occurred in the 22000 block of Shaw Road.

The victim said a black Honda Civic parked in front of him and kept him from leaving the parking lot. Then, two men exited the car and started shouting, police said.

The driver of the car displayed a handgun, while the passenger was armed with a baseball bat, according to the police report. The victim said the Civic followed him before driving away.

Authorities described the driver as a tall Hispanic man with gray hair pulled into a bun. He had tattoos on both arms. The sheriff's office is still investigating, though no arrests have been made.

In Ashburn on Friday night, deputies said they pulled over a driver near Gloucester Parkway and Loudoun County Parkway. They claimed that the driver was travelling 68 miles per hour in a 45 miles per hour zone.

As the deputy administered field sobriety tests, the driver started to walk away, the sheriff's office claimed. Deputies said the man "actively resisted" as they tried to take him into custody.

The man, Jonathan Portillo, was eventually arrested and charged with resisting arrest and driving while intoxicated. He was released from the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on a $2,500 unsecured bond.
