The Potomac Falls HS Marching Panthers "Jazz" It Up For 2014!

The Award Winning Potomac Falls High School Marching Band Entertains Their Audience With A Show You Won't Want To Miss!

The 2014 PFHS Marching Panthers have been working tirelessly since mid-August, putting in eight hour days under the hot sun, in order to perfect their new show.  They have learned 47 pages of drill routines and memorized six popular Jazz tunes arranged by Band Director, Mr. Tim Niebergall.  This talented 82 member group, led by drum majors, Arthur Wang and Sam Durgin, performs a dazzling show entitled “All About Jazz.”

“All About Jazz” opens with the sounds of Big Noise From Winnetka and then seamlessly journeys into the tune Tiger of San Pedro.  Next, you’re quietly drawn into the swaying rhythm of Autumn Leaves which brilliantly transitions into the familiar Jazz song, Fever.  Just when you think the fun is over, the beat of the drums begin and the band ventures on to play Killer Joe and comes full circle by closing the show with Big Noise From Winnetka.

You won’t want to miss this superb show which takes you back to the era of many Jazz Greats such as Nat King Cole and Peggy Lee.  So come on out to the PFHS Varsity home football games on October 17 & 24 at 7:00pm for an entertaining half-time performance.  We also invite you to follow this talented group as they participate in their first band competition of the season on Saturday, September 20, at Woodgrove HS in Purcellville.
