The Power of Homework

As more studies demonstrate the importance of homework completion, INMED helps low-income children get ahead.

The Power of Homework: The kids may not love it, but studies show that children who do their homework are setting themselves up for success. According to education researchers Brian Gill of RAND and Steven Schlossman of Carnegie Mellon University, homework is “essential to raise educational standards, foster high academic achievement, upgrade the quality of the labor force, and link family and school in a common teaching mission." That lesson is reinforced every day at INMED’s after-school program, where children receive one-on-one homework help in addition to other important academic enrichment activities to build computer agility and math proficiency.
