Prescription Drug Take Back Event Planned In Loudoun County

The prescription drug take-back day is planned Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at several locations throughout Loudoun County.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office and the Leesburg City Police Department will team up with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration to provide residents with a safe and legal way to dispose of unused or expired prescription medications.

The prescription drug take back day is planned Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Residents will be able to drop off unused prescription drugs at the following locations:

Ashburn Station
20272 Savin Hill Dr., Ashburn

Dulles South Public Safety Center
25216 Loudoun County Pkwy., South Riding

Eastern Loudoun Sheriff’s Station

Prescription and over-the-counter solid-dosage medications (i.e. tablets and capsules) will be accepted. Intravenous solutions, injectables and needles will not be accepted. Illicit substances such as marijuana or methamphetamine will also not be accepted during the event.
