Primrose School Opening in Broadlands

The much anticipated Primrose School of Ashburn at Broadlands is scheduled to open its doors within the next few weeks, and the community is already excited about the quality of their early education programs coming to Broadlands.

The Broadlands location is affiliated with the Primrose School of Ashburn, the first Primrose school in the metro Washington DC market, and one of the top preschools in Northern Virginia. Since its opening in early 2012, the Primrose School of Ashburn has won multiple awards and recognitions, including “BEST OF LOUDOUN” by Leesburg Today, “BEST OF THE DC SUBURBS” by Posh Seven Magazine, “TOP PRESCHOOL” by Northern Virginia Magazine, and “2014 BEST SERVICE BUSINESS” by the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce.

Adela Taboada, owner with her husband, Victor, of both the Ashburn and Broadlands schools, attributes the strength and quality of their programs to several factors: “Primrose’s proprietary curriculum, Balanced Learning, is research-informed and combines the best elements of renowned early learning philosophers like Montessori, Piaget, Gesell and Vygotsky, along with modern traits from the latest child development studies. We are also very demanding about the quality of our teachers; for each position that we fill we interview many candidates and only select and train those that are in a better position to bring our wonderful curriculum to life.”

Primrose’s curriculum is under permanent development and revisions by a team of early education experts, Taboada explained, “every year the curriculum changes, as new materials, books or more effective methodologies become available; what is taught today is not necessarily the same that will taught in the same classroom next year.”

Taboada, an educator for over 25 years, summarizes her goals and aspirations for her schools: “my husband and I have five children, we place the utmost importance on education, we want nothing else but the best for the families that trust us with their children’s education and care.”
