Realtors Raise $8K In Meal Donations For Local Hospital Staff

Employees at the Keller Williams Alliance Group have raised more than $8,000 in donations for local hospitals to support health care workers

ASHBURN, VA – Employees at the Keller Williams Alliance Group have raised more than $8,000 in donations for local hospitals to help support health care workers in the fight against the new coronavirus.

As part of the company's RED Day, an annual day of volunteerism and giving held on the second Thursday of May, employees decided to "Give Where They Live" to participate in the annual day of service while adhering to the stay-at-home order and social distancing guidelines.

Associates from around Northern Virginia raised $8,100 for Inova Leesburg, Ashburn ER, Loudoun Hospital, Reston Hospital, Inova FairOaks, Jefferson Medical Center, Charles Town and St. Marys Richmond. The donations will help support frontline medical workers by giving them free meals.

"RED Day is built on the belief that people can and should come together to achieve extraordinary things to help others," said Kay Bellhouse, Keller Williams Alliance Group General Manager, in a prepared statement.

The company has partnered with Brewers Richmond and CharlesTown WVA, as well as two moving companies, to supply over 1,100 meals.
