Recruiting Starts Next Week for New Topgolf in Ashburn: Media Report

Driving range and entertainment center plans to hire 450 employees.

The company that’s opening a new indoor golf and entertainment center in Ashburn will begin the process next week of recruiting and hiring 450 people to staff the complex.

In September, Topgolf plans to open its second Washington-area location in the Commonwealth Center, near the intersection of Route 7 and the Loudoun County Parkway, according to the Washington Business Journal. The three-level complex will have more than 100 driving bays, where players will hit golf balls containing microchips that track each shot while awarding points for hitting targets.

Of the 450 jobs available, 150 will be full-time. The positions include bartenders, kitchen, maintenance and guest services.

Topgolf expects the Ashburn complex to attract as many as 450,000 visitors in its first year of operation, the Washington Business Journal reported. The Dallas-based company opened its first U.S. location in 2005 in the Kingstowne section of Fairfax County, south of Alexandria.
