The Loudoun County Salvation Army serves all Loudoun County residents in need 365 days a year, sharing in the mission of Christ and providing an array of services to help families. They work to prevent hunger, support senior citizens with medications and provide temporary assistance in paying utilities and rent for those in danger of homelessness. Eighty three cents for every dollar donated to the Kettle Program goes directly to providing these services.
Each year, The Salvation Army also assists the community through the Angel Tree Program. Donors provide assistance to children across Loudoun County by providing new clothing and toys, so every child can experience Christmas morning. Thousands of local children are impacted by this initiative each year. Once a child has been registered as an “Angel,” The Salvation Army makes a commitment to provide them with Christmas gifts.
