STERLING, VA — A man robbed the drive-thru window of a Sterling McDonald's on Wednesday night, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Police said the robber and another man drove away with the store's cash drawer.

No injuries were reported in the robbery. The cash drawer was the only thing reported missing, according to the police report.

Authorities said the robber and another man drove away in a silver Chevrolet sedan with tinted windows and Maryland license plates.

The robbery occurred around 11 p.m. on Wednesday at the McDonald's drive-thru at 275 Free Court in Sterling. Police said a passenger in the back seat of a car paid for an order with cash at the window and asked to add an item to the order.

As the cashier added the order, the passenger got out of the car, reached through the window, and pulled out the cash drawer, according to authorities. He then got back in the car, and an unseen driver drove away.
