Robert Brantley Joins INMED Board of Trustees

Rockwell Collins executive becomes a trustee of INMED's Family & Youth Opportunity Center in Sterling

INMED Partnerships for Children is pleased to announce that Robert (Bob) Brantley has joined the Board of Trustees of INMED’s Family & Youth Opportunity Center in Sterling, Virginia. He is the Senior Director of Air Transport & Mission Solutions for Rockwell Collins, a leader in aviation and high-integrity solutions for commercial and military customers around the world.

INMED is an international nonprofit humanitarian organization that has been serving low-income communities in Loudoun since 1994. INMED’s Family & Youth Opportunity Center provides a continuum of care and support from prenatal through adulthood via child development and family education, after-school academic enrichment, skills development and job readiness services, homelessness intervention programs and intensive case management for families in crisis.

“We are thrilled to welcome Bob to our Board of Trustees,” says Opportunity Center Executive Director Cecilia Capece. “Bob brings a wealth of technical expertise, financial acumen and creativity that will help us expand our STEM programs for low-income children and youth.”

Mr. Brantley recently relocated to Northern Virginia from Utah, where he held a variety of positions with Rockwell Collins—from Senior Director of Simulation Products to Manager of Image Generation and Content Products to Manager of Mobility Training Solutions, among other management positions. He earned a BS-CIS degree from Lehigh University as well as a master’s degree in technical management from the Florida Institute of Technology.

Giving back to the community is a high priority for Mr. Brantley, who eagerly became involved in Rockwell Collins’ K-12 education outreach initiatives upon his relocation to Virginia.
