Barbra Streisand Reveals She Cloned Her Dog
The singer had cells taken from the mouth and stomach of her 14-year-old dog Samantha, who died last year, so that she could be cloned.

MALIBU, CA – Barbra Streisand revealed in a new interview with Variety that she had cells taken from the mouth and stomach of her 14-year-old dog Samantha, who died last year, so that she could be cloned. The 75-year-old entertainer now has two Coton du Tulear dogs named Miss Violet and Miss Scarlett.
Streisand told Variety that the dogs have different personalities, but she's waiting for them to get older so she can see if they have "her brown eyes and seriousness."
Samantha, who Streisand lovingly called "Sammie," frequently appeared on the singer's Instagram before her death. Streisand also reflected on her career, and spoke with Variety about politics and the sexism she's experienced over decades.
