Search Continues For Missing Loudoun Woman Last Seen In Purcellville

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Authorities are continuing to search for Carolyn R. Taylor, an 81-year-old woman who has been missing since Sunday morning in Purcellville, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.

Taylor was last seen around 10:40 a.m. Sunday, in the 18000 block of Foundry Road. She is believed to be traveling on foot and may be wearing a blue sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Taylor has a cognitive impairment and is known to nap outdoors, particularly in grassy or wooded areas, authorities said.

The sheriff’s office asked residents near the area where Taylor was last seen to check their own backyards, sheds and gardens, along with brushy or wooded areas at the edges of their properties.

Residents are also being asked to review security and doorbell camera footage recorded from 10 a.m. Sunday through the present for any sign of Taylor.

The sheriff’s office is not seeking volunteer searchers and asked people not to travel to the area to look for her. Trained personnel are conducting the search, and additional people could interfere with their efforts, authorities said.

Taylor is described as 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighing 104 pounds, with white hair and blue eyes. Virginia State Police issued a Senior Alert for her Sunday night.
