Separate Reports Of Gunfire, 'Loud Bangs' Heard In Ashburn
Loudoun County Sheriff's deputies responded to reports of gunfire in different areas of Ashburn Wednesday night.
ASHBURN, VA — Loudoun County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to reports of gunfire in two different areas of Ashburn Wednesday night, about 90 minutes apart. Both areas where gunshots were reported were canvassed by deputies, but nothing suspicious was found, the sheriff's office said.
At around 7:20 p.m. Wednesday, Loudoun County sheriff's deputies responded to the 20900 block of Hollberry Court, near Ashburn Farm Parkway, for separate reports of gunfire. The deputies did not find anything suspicious.
A short while later, at about 8:45 p.m., a resident reported hearing gunfire in the 44200 block of Meandering Terrace, next to the Ashbrook Commons Shopping Center. The area is about two miles northeast of the neighborhood where the earlier gunshots were heard.

Two other residents reported hearing "loud bangs" in the area. But several residents in the area told deputies they did not hear anything. The area was further canvassed and nothing suspicious was located, the sheriff's office said.
