Shooting At Dulles Town Center Mall; 1 In Critical Condition: Reports
Officers found the victim exiting a door by the Cheesecake Factory and the shooter sitting on the floor of the food court, reports said.
STERLING, VA — Police are investigating a shooting Sunday at the Dulles Town Center Mall, according to authorities.
One person was shot and taken to a nearby hospital, the Loudon County Sheriff's Office said in a Facebook post shortly after 1 p.m. A suspect was in custody, according to police. The shooting is due to a dispute between the victim and gunman, The Washington Post reported.
Officers found the victim leaving through a door by the Cheesecake Factory, according to the Post. The victim was a 21-year-old man and was in critical condition, News4 reported, adding the shooter, who is in his 30s, was located by police sitting on the floor of the food court.

The mall closed for the day after the shooting, according to News4.
“You can’t go to the mall, you can’t go to the supermarket, you can’t go to church," Mayra Rodriguez, who works at Dulles Town Center, told the Post. "You can’t go anywhere nowadays."
