Sobriety Checkpoint Stops 175 In Loudoun County

Last Friday night's sobriety checkpoint in Loudoun County stopped 175 drivers: Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. We have the results.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Last weekend's sobriety checkpoint had to have made officials from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office quite happy. Ditto for 174 of the 175 drivers who passed through it at the intersection of Broadlands Boulevard and Claiborne Parkway from 10 p.m.-2 a.m. Friday night.

Alas, one driver no doubt was left quite unhappy. That's because, of course, he was arrested for Driving Under the Influence. Ten other drivers underwent secondary screening but ultimately were sent on their way. (For more local news, click here to sign up for real-time news alerts.
