Man Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries In Stabbing Outside Convenience Store: Police
Police arrested a Sterling man on Friday after he was accused of stabbing someone outside of a convenience store on West Church Road.
LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — A stabbing occurred in Sterling on Friday afternoon, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said. One man suffered life-threatening injuries and authorities arrested a suspect.
The incident occurred just before 3 p.m. on Friday, the sheriff's office said in a report. At that time, deputies responded to a convenience store in the 700 block of W. Church Road in Sterling.
When they arrived on the scene, they found man outside the store suffering from a stab wound. Authorities only identified the victim as an adult male.

Deputies established a perimeter in the area and began to search for a suspect, who they identified as Wilbur Zelaya Herrera. Deputies found Zelaya Herrera outside of a nearby home. They took him into custody without further incident.
Emergency personnel took the victim to a nearby hospital. They said his injuries were life-threatening. On Friday evening, the sheriff's office said the victim was in stable condition.

Zelaya Herrera was held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.
