Daughter Stabbed Father Before Being Fatally Struck By Vehicle: Police

SOUTH RIDING, VA — A woman stabbed her father before being fatally struck by a vehicle on Route 50 in South Riding on Friday, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said.

The sheriff's office has not identified the woman. She died at the scene of the crash. Her father suffered a cut to his arm and was treated at an area hospital.

Investigators have not said what could have motivated the stabbing.

Route 50 was shut down for several hours on Friday as police investigated the crash. It reopened at 2:15 p.m.
