Sterling Bike Rider Robbed At Gunpoint: Loudoun County Police

Two men took the victim's jewelry, bag, cell phone and bicycle after robbing her on the Washington and Old Dominion Trail in Sterling.

STERLING, VA — The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is looking for two suspects who they say robbed a bicycle rider at gunpoint over the weekend. The robbery happened on the Washington and Old Dominion Trail near Williamsburg Road in Sterling.

Police said at approximately 12:20 p.m. Sunday, a female bike rider was approached by two men. One suspect brandished a firearm and demanded the rider hand over her belongings. The victim’s jewelry, bag, cell phone, and bicycle were stolen. The men took the victim’s jewelry, bag, cell phone and bicycle before fleeing the area on bicycles. The victim reported minor injuries from the incident.

Police said the suspects were described as two Hispanic males and approximately 18 years of age. One male was thin and was wearing blue jeans, a white shirt and a white hat. The other male was heavy set and was wearing blue jeans and a black shirt.
