STERLING, VA — A masked robber assaulted a gas station employee with a gun on Wednesday morning in Sterling, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

The employee received medical attention at the scene.

Authorities are asking for the public's help identifying the robber. He was wearing a black covering on his head and face, a black New Balance sweatshirt, black gloves, black pants, and a black bag.

The robber entered the Exxon gas station at 23050 Pacific Boulevard in Sterling around 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning. He pulled out a gun and demanded money from the register, authorities said.

During the robbery, he hit an Exxon employee in the head with a gun before running out of the store. Authorities have been unable to identify the robber so far.
