Police Charge Suspect in Two Hit-and-Runs
Suspect nabbed after he fled on foot from second crash, according to Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

A Sterling man is in jail and facing charges from two hit-and-run accidents Tuesday night in the Sterling area.
Andrew W. Stringer, 33, was charged with driving under the influence (DUI), driving on a revoked license, unauthorized use of a vehicle, misdemeanor hit-and-run and felony hit-and-run, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office. He is being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on no bond.
The first accident occurred at 6:38 p.m. at the intersection of CountrySide Boulevard and Algonkian Parkway, according to a police report. Witnesses reported seeing a motorist driving recklessly in the area, and he rear-ended another vehicle that was stopped at a light at the intersection.
The motorist then drove the vehicle across the grass and traveled south on CountrySide Boulevard, the report said. As sheriff’s deputies were investigating the scene, a second hit-and-run crash was reported in the 700 block of North Sterling Boulevard.
The driver of the suspect vehicle, identified as Stringer, then fled on foot, according to an LCSO release. Deputies set up a perimeter, and Stringer was located at a residence on Palmer Court.
