Students at Chesterbrook Academy® Elementary & Middle School in Sterling Raise $928 for the Cheetah Conservation Fund

Students held a coin battle during their spirit week in honor of the school's mascot

Students at Chesterbrook Academy Elementary & Middle School in Sterling recently held a coin battle at their school and raised $928 for the Cheetah Conservation Fund in honor of their school’s mascot, which is a cheetah. Four different groups of classes competed against each other to see which could raise the most money for the organization. The coin battle was part of Chesterbrook Academy’s spirit week, during which students dressed for different themes each day and held a day of dance performances. This marks the fifth year Chesterbrook Academy has held a fundraiser for the Cheetah Conservation Fund.

The Cheetah Conservation Fund is the world’s leading organization dedicated to saving the cheetah in the wild. Founded by Dr. Laurie Marker in 1990, the organization has created a set of integrated programs aimed at addressing the principle threats to the cheetah. For more information, visit www.cheetah.org.
