Suspect Arrested After Stabbing In Sterling In May: Police
A suspect has been arrested after a man was stabbed in the abdomen outside a Sterling restaurant in May, authorities said.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — A suspect has been arrested in connection with a May stabbing in Sterling, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said on Thursday.
A victim, who police only identified as a male, suffered serious injuries in the stabbing. He did not die from his injuries.
On Wednesday, authorities arrested 24-year-old Jose Luis Cordon Caheque in connection with the stabbing. He is charged with one count of aggravated malicious wounding.

If convicted, Cordon Caheque could spend the rest of his life in prison, based on Virginia's sentencing guidelines.
The stabbing occurred around 2 a.m. on May 17 in a parking lot at 46950 Community Plaza in Sterling. Deputies were originally called to the area for a fight, the police report said.

When they arrived on the scene, deputies found the victim suffering from a stab wound to the abdomen. First responders took him to an area hospital for treatment.
After an investigation, authorities identified Cordon Caheque as a suspect. The former Ashburn resident was arrested at a home in Salisbury, Maryland on Wednesday, police said.
The sheriff's office said Cordon Caheque could be extradited to Loudoun County in the coming weeks.
