Suspicious Couple Targeting Children In Ashburn: Sketch Released

Police have released a composite sketch of two suspicious strangers believed to have been eyeing children the past several days in Ashburn.

ASHBURN, VA — Police have released a composite sketch of two suspicious strangers believed to have been eyeing children the past several days in the Brambleton area, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. The first incident happened last Friday in the 42000 block of Legacy Park Drive; the second, Monday in the 23000 block of Block Hales Trace Court.

In the first incident, around 11:15 a.m., a person told police she was approached twice by an unknown woman who asked her multiple times about her children and whether she needed a nanny. When she sat down to feed her son, the woman tried to reach for him but was stopped by the mother. During the incident, the woman walked back and forth across the park toward an unknown man. In the second incident, around 12:30 p.m., a man told police he and his son were fishing at a pond. His son was on the opposite side of the pond and told his dad he saw a suspicious vehicle in the area and overheard a conversation between a man and a woman in which he may have been mentioned. He looked toward his father and joined him, after which the vehicle left.

In both cases, the woman was described as being white, possibly Hispanic, with dark hair. She was described in the Friday incident as being heavyset and in her mid 50s. Also in both cases, the man was described as a white and in his 50s. He was described in the Friday incident as being bald with tatoos on his right upper arm. The vehicle in the Monday incident was described as gold and possibly a mid 80s Nissan Sentra or Toyota Celica.
