Swatting Call Suspected In Threat Against School In Loudoun County
Loudoun County law enforcement responded to a threat report against a school in Middleburg and found no active threat.

MIDDLEBURG, VA —A threat against a school promoted a heavy law enforcement presence in the Loudoun County community of Middleburg Thursday morning.
The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office and Middleburg Police Department responded around 9:45 a.m. to the 100 block of South Madison School for a threat against The Hill School of Middleburg.
As of 12:13 p.m., the scene is clear, and all students and staff were accounted for. No threat was found when the school buildings were searched and cleared. There were no reported injuries.

The sheriff's office said the threat appeared to be a swatting call, which involves contacting law enforcement to get an emergency response to a location for a false emergency.
The sheriff's office is actively investigating the threat and continues to do patrols in the area. Anyone with information can contact Detective Coderre at 703-777-1021.
