Three Charged in Assault Outside Sterling Restaurant

Loudoun County Sheriff's Office: Victim was able to flee twice, contact police.

Loudoun County police on Sunday night arrested three men following a brawl that began outside a Sterling restaurant.

Ronal E. Ortiz-Franco, 29, of Sterling; Mario I. Moreno-Herrera, 27, of no fixed address; and Hector Mejia-Soriano, 28, of Maryland were charged with assault by mob, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office. No information was disclosed on whether they’re being held in jail, released on bond or their next date in court.

Sheriff’s deputies responded at 11:20 p.m. Sunday to the report of a fight in the 150 block of Enterprise Street in Sterling, the sheriff’s office said in a report. The victim told police that he was standing outside of a restaurant when three men approached him and instigated a fight.

The victim fled and the men chased him to the area of Commerce Street, where he was once again assaulted, the report said.

The victim was able to flee again and contacted police. The three suspects were located and identified as being involved in the incident, the report said.
