Three Flee After Vehicle Smashes Into Light Pole in Sterling: Police
The driver also hit a guardrail and a road sign: Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. He was found in a wooded area and charged with DWI.

STERLING, VA — A driver with two passengers smashed into a light pole, a guardrail and a road sign Monday afternoon in the area of Route 7 and Route 28 and then left the scene, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.
The driver, Frank Simons, Jr., of Sterling, was found in a wooded area near Broad Run Drive, charged with DWI and taken to a local hospital for cold-related exposure.
The passengers were found in the area of Research Place and charged with public intoxication.

Police responded to the scene shortly before 12:30 p.m., and witnesses said the three occupants of the vehicle fled after the crash.
