Unmet Housing Needs Planning Process Kicked Off By Loudoun County

Loudoun County officials will begin a strategic planning process with a public open house scheduled Oct. 30.

STERLING, VA — In an effort to address unmet housing needs in Loudoun County, the Board of Supervisors will kick off a strategic planning process with a public open house planned Oct. 30 from 4-6 p.m. The goal of the open house is to collect public feedback on housing issues in the county.

The open house will take place at the Eastern Loudoun Service Center, 21641 Ridgetop Circle in Sterling. Other goals for the event include providing the public an opportunity to learn about current housing programs and other housing issues facing the county. Attendees also will be invited to participate in a survey and share their questions and ideas one-on-one with county staff.

In its adoption of the Loudoun County 2019 Comprehensive Plan, the Board of Supervisors directed a review of all policies and regulations to develop an unmet housing needs strategic plan to include down-payment assistance programs, utilization of housing trust funds and home purchase programs, according to a news release.
