Update: Cleanup of Route 28 Spill To Run Through Rush Hour
Truck driver injured in accident at Route 606 interchange, say police, media reports.

The cleanup of a spill from a tanker truck this morning will slow traffic on Route 28 through at least 6 p.m., say the Virginia State Police.
The tanker truck overturned and spilled tar over part of the cloverleaf interchange of Route 28 and Route 606 (Old Ox Road) near Dulles Airport. The State Police say the ramp from northbound 28 to westbound 606, and the ramp from westbound 606 to northbound 28, will be closed until at least 6 p.m.

The accident occurred on the latter ramp, according to media reports. The driver was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
The tractor-trailer also spilled diesel fuel and transmission fluid, Loudoun County fire officials said, according to WUSA-TV Channel 9. Fire and hazmat crews quickly arrived on the scene to clean up the spill.
