Vehicle Shot At In Ashburn On Saturday Morning: Loudoun County Crime Report
Someone fired a gunshot at a vehicle in Ashburn, police said. Detectives are looking to speak with anyone who may have more information.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Someone fired a gunshot at a vehicle in Ashburn on Saturday morning, according to a report from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. No injuries or property damage was reported, and authorities are looking to speak with anyone who may have more information.
The incident occurred around 1 a.m. on Saturday in the 20100 block of Boxwood Place, according to the sheriff's office. A resident called authorities to the area after they reported hearing gunfire.
Through their investigation, authorities determined that the incident involved two groups who knew each other from a previous altercation. Members of one group then confronted the victims in the area of Boxwood Place.

When the victims began to drive away, one suspect fired a shot at their car, the sheriff's office said. The suspects and victims all fled the area.
Deputies were able to locate a victim, and detectives are still working to identify all of the people involved. Anyone with more information can contact the Detective Mitchell at 703-777-1021.

Other incidents around Loudoun County over the weekend included an extortion attempt in Ashburn. On Saturday, a victim told police that he had sent nude photos of himself to a person he met online. Then, the person demanded money and threatened to send the photos to friends and family members.
Elsewhere in Ashburn, a victim told authorities that his truck had been stolen after it became disabled in the roadway on Monday. The vehicle is described as a silver 2006 Dodge Ram that was left near Belmont Ridge Road and Chesterton Street.
