Waltonwood Ashburn Announces Executive Director and Marketing Manager

Waltonwood Ashburn is pleased to announce they've hired an executive director and marketing manager.

Waltonwood Ashburn is pleased to announce that Justin Roberts, a Northern Virginia native, has been named executive director; and Michelle Rogers has been named marketing manager of the senior living community. Roberts and Rogers will play a strategic role within Waltonwood Ashburn, which is currently under construction with plans to open in the second half of 2017. This is the first Waltonwood community in Northern Virginia, and the company looks forward to bringing its expertly designed, luxury independent living, assisted living and memory care concept to seniors throughout the greater Washington, D.C. metro area. The community will have 114 independent living apartments, 72 assisted living apartments and 27 memory care apartments. Nestled on 14.5 acres, the 287,000-square-foot community will offer a wide variety of amenities ranging from state-of-the-art fitness equipment specifically designed for seniors to scenic courtyards with relaxing gazebos, massage therapy, elegant dining areas and much more. Both Roberts and Rogers are excited to help launch a boutique-style, luxury senior living community, and the two also share a deep passion for providing seniors with a greater quality of living.

“We’re excited to welcome Justin and Michelle to the Waltonwood Ashburn family,” said Staci Stewart, regional director of sales and marketing for Waltonwood Communities/Singh Senior Living. “They each possess the passion, talent and experience to help us redefine retirement living and ensure that the residents enjoy an active lifestyle and excellent quality of life.”

With more than 10 years of experience, Roberts is no stranger to the senior living industry. He began his journey as a front-line team member and is proud to be named executive director of Waltonwood Ashburn. Roberts’ experiences in the senior living field have provided him with insight into the complexities of successfully leading a community. His prior experience in continuing care retirement communities and memory care communities provides the perfect foundation for his role at Waltonwood Ashburn.

“Waltonwood Ashburn is a family-owned-and-operated organization, which was very appealing to me,” said Roberts. “Their values closely match mine, and I am honored to lead this truly unique community. I anticipate having my children grow up in the senior living world by visiting the community and giving back to the residents. As executive director, my goal is for Waltonwood Ashburn to be the premier senior living provider in our area.”

Rogers, who has 10 years of experience in leasing and property management, knew that her next journey would be helping seniors relocate to retirement communities. Rogers can relate to families exploring senior living because she experienced it with her own family, and she considers this to be her true calling.

“I knew my career would eventually shift to assisting seniors who are looking for a community to call home,” said Rogers. “My father became sick, and we had to transition him into the right senior community. That was the tipping point for me, and I wanted to learn everything I could to positively impact the lives of other families going through the same process.”

As Waltonwood Ashburn prepares to open its premier senior living community, Rogers and Roberts are excited to be a part of a company that’s committed to improving residents’ independence, health, safety, individuality and well-being in every aspect. The senior living community provides worry-free and maintenance-free living for those who want the freedom to pursue their passions during retirement. Waltonwood Ashburn offers nutritious made-to-order chef-prepared meals in a restaurant-style dining room each day, housekeeping and laundry service, onsite therapy, medication management, a movie theater, billiards and game room, café, state-of-the-art fitness center, salon, saltwater pool, landscaped courtyards and much more.

Waltonwood Ashburn provides all residents with a wonderful lifestyle and full continuum of care to meet their changing needs. From independent living to assisted living to memory care and short-term stay, residents and families have peace of mind in knowing that they have access to different levels of living all on one campus.

Singh currently owns and operates 10 other Waltonwood Senior Communities in Michigan and North Carolina, and has several other communities in development and under construction in North Carolina and the Washington, D.C. metro area market.

Waltonwood Ashburn invites the public to enjoy a glass of champagne and rose on Monday, February 13th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
