Wanted Ashburn Man Arrested In Georgia: Police
A man wanted for a shooting this past summer at an Ashburn apartment complex was arrested this week in Georgia, the LCSO said Thursday.

ASHBURN, VA—A man wanted for a shooting this past summer at an Ashburn apartment complex was arrested this week in Georgia, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said Thursday. Edgar M. Vargas, 29, of Ashburn, was wanted for aggravated malicious wounding and use of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
On July 29, Vargas was in an argument with another man at an apartment in the 21000 block of Green Stable Square. Vargas shot the man in the abdominal area and then fled. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries that weren't life threatening.
Vargas was apprehended Tuesday by Hinesville (Ga.) Police, as well as the U.S. Marshals service. He's awaiting extradition to Virginia.
