Warming-Up Jeep Stolen Before Bursting Into Flames In Sterling
A man said he was warming up his jeep and went inside for a few minutes. When he came back, it was gone and later found on fire in Sterling.

STERLING, VA — So a guy starts his jeep New Year's Eve night in the 46000 block of Sheel Terrace and he leaves it running while he goes back inside his residence for a few minutes to wait for it to warm up on a night when the temperature dipped into the lower teens. When he comes back out no more than 10 minutes later, he later tells police, the jeep was gone.
Alas, while en route the the residence shortly before 11 p.m., deputies from the Loudoun County Sheriff's came upon a vehicle engulfed in flames. Yep, it was the same jeep that had been reported stolen. An investigation into the incident continues.
