Watch: Sheriff's Office Releases Bank Robbery Video

Disturbing scene unfolds on camera as unidentified man flashes gun and demands cash.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office has released a video showing the armed bank robbery of a SunTrust Bank in the CountrySide area of Sterling.

The unknown male entered the bank on Pidgeon Hill Drive shortly before 11:30 a.m. and brandished a firearm. The suspect demanded cash and was last seen fleeing the bank on foot.

The suspect is described as a white male in his late 50s to early 60s who was wearing a dark colored plaid jacket with a camouflage hat and blue jeans.

Anyone who was in this area at the time of the robbery, saw anything suspicious, and did not speak with law enforcement is asked to contact Detective C. Cunningham of the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office at 703-777-0475.

Callers wishing to remain anonymous are asked to contact Loudoun Crime Solvers at 703-777-1919. If the information provided to Loudoun Crime Solvers leads to an arrest and indictment, the caller could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
