Weather Delay for Loudoun County Schools Friday

Loudoun County Schools are hoping a late start time will help students walking to school in the bitter cold and waiting for busses on blustery sidewalks.

Loudoun County Public Schools will open two hours late on Friday, Jan. 9, 2015.

Administrative offices will open on a one-hour delay.

As the result of considerable melting and continued treatment, road and street conditions have improved, according to a statement.

School division staff have treated school parking lots and sidewalks several times since Tuesday morning. Further communication will be coming to parents of students where alternate bus stops have been established.
