The Independence Day holiday falls on Monday, July 4, which means some services will be closed for a three-day weekend. Loudoun County government offices will be closed on July 4, and other services will have schedule changes.

Here are the openings and closings to know for Fourth of July in Loudoun County:
- Loudoun County government offices: Closed on July 4.
- Town of Leesburg government offices: Closed on July 4.
- Courts: State and local courts will be closed on July 4.
- DMV: DMV offices will be closed on July 4.
- Loudoun County libraries: Library branches will be closed on July 4.
- Loudoun County recreation centers: Recreation centers will close at 12 p.m. on July 4.
- Loudoun County landfill: Closed on July 4.
- Leesburg trash collection: Trash collection will not occur as scheduled on July 4.
- Post offices: Closed on July 4.
- Metro: Metro will run on a Sunday holiday schedule on July 4. Metro has closed five Orange Line stations between Stadium-Armory and New Carrollton through Labor Day.
