What's Open, Closed For Labor Day 2022 In Loudoun County
Labor Day is a much-needed three-day weekend for many Americans. The holiday also changes the hours of many facilities in Loudoun County.
LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Labor Day represents the unofficial end of summer for many Americans. Those who get the day off of work may use it as a final opportunity to break out the grill, visit the beach, or take a dip in the pool.
In Loudoun County, many county facilities and services will adjust their hours of operation on Monday, Sept. 5 to allow employees to celebrate Labor Day.
Here are the schedule changes and closings to know around Leesburg, Ashburn, and the rest of Loudoun County.

- Loudoun County government offices: Closed on Monday, Sept. 5.
- Courts: Circuit Court, General District Court, and Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court are closed on Monday, Sept. 5.
- Loudoun County Public Schools: Monday, Sept. 5 is an observed holiday for the school system. Schools and offices will be closed.
- Loudoun County Landfill: The landfill will be closed on Monday, Sept. 5.
- Libraries: All Loudoun County Public Library locations are closed on Monday, Sept. 5.
- Town of Leesburg Trash Collection: Trash collection in the Town of Leesburg will continue on its regular schedule on Monday, Sept. 5.
- Post offices: U.S. Postal Service offices are closed on Monday, Sept. 5.
- Loudoun County Transit: Loudoun County Transit is not operating Monday, Sept. 5 in observance of Labor Day.
- Metrorail: Will operate on its Sunday Holiday schedule with service from 7 a.m.-midnight.
- Claude Moore Recreation and Community Center: Open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 5.
- Dulle South Recreation and Community Center: Open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 5.
