VDOT Snowplow Update for Northern Virginia
Virginia Department of Transporation crews are making significant progress on 16,000 subdivision streets across northern Virginia.
VDOT announced that the goal is to make one lane of all subdivisions passable by 6 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 27. If residents do not have one passable lane by 6 a.m. tomorrow, contact VDOT at 1-800-FOR-ROAD or novainfo@vdot.virginia.gov. >>>read more.

Rescue on the Ice at Aquia Creek
A Stafford detective saved a man who had fallen into the ice on Aquia Creek Tuesday morning, according to Stafford County Sheriff’s Office.
Local rivers and lakes are not safe when iced over. In this case, the man’s dog had run onto the ice and he was trying to save the dog when he fell in. >>>read more.
