Whole Foods Announces Opening Date in Ashburn

The new natural, organic grocery store is part of the Shops at Belmont, off Route 7.

Whole Foods Market Ashburn, the first in Loudoun County, will open its doors on July 29, the grocery chain announced this week. The 45,000-square-foot store is in the Shops at Belmont, at the intersection of Claiborne Parkway and Russell Branch Parkway just south of Route 7.

Whole Foods Market Ashburn will be the 46th store for the Whole Foods Market Mid-Atlantic region, joining the 421 stores currently open worldwide, the company said.

“The countdown is on – we can’t wait for you to join us at the first Whole Foods Market in Loudoun County,” said Travis Phaup, Whole Foods Market Ashburn Store Team Leader, in a company statement. “This area is so rich in local produce and suppliers, and we are already working with many who will bring a great selection of unique items to customers in Ashburn.”

Along with offering natural and organic products, including seasonal, locally-sourced produce, Whole Foods Market Ashburn will feature:

  • In-store pub serving beer, wine and spirits alongside food pairings
  • New, local products found through our “open call” supplier search
  • Extensive bakery with fresh-made donuts and artisan bread
  • Draft beer taps, including Old Ox Brewery collaboration beer & growler fill-up station
  • In-house charcuterie program
  • Two-story café with indoor/outdoor seating, “behind the scenes” bakery views and balcony
  • Beauty-centric Whole Body department
