Whole Foods To Open With 'Bread-Breaking' Ceremony

New grocery store will bring organic, locally-sourced produce to Ashburn.

Whole Foods Market Ashburn, the first Whole Foods store in Loudoun County, is getting ready to open its doors Wednesday morning with a “bread-breaking ceremony.”

The event takes place at 8:45 a.m., along wih speeches by top company executives, and the new 45,000-square-foot store will welcome the public at 9 a.m., the company announced. The opening day will feature an open-air market, doorbuster specials and tasty samples.

Whole Foods Market Ashburn is at 19800 Belmont Chase Drive, in the Shops at Belmont, at the intersection of Claiborne Parkway and Russell Branch Parkway just south of Route 7. It’s the 46th store for the Whole Foods Market Mid-Atlantic region, joining the 421 stores currently open worldwide.
