Woman Dead, Suspect At Large Following Reported Shooting In Aldie: LCSO

ALDIE, VA – One woman is dead and a suspect is at large following a reported shooting in Aldie on Tuesday, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff's office reported a heavy law enforcement presence in the vicinity of Quimby Oaks Place and Sheffield Forest Drive shortly before noon. LCSO tells Patch that deputies responded to reports of a shooting at a residence in the area and that one woman is dead.

The suspect has not been found and does not appear to be in the area of the shooting, an LCSO spokesman said.

The victim's next of kin are being notified, LCSO said.
