Woman Killed In Head-On Crash in Sterling: Police

It occurred on Cascades Parkway between Maries Road and Woodland Road, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Two hospitalized.

STERLING, VA — A woman was killed late Tuesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash on Cascades Parkway between Maries Road and Woodland Road, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

She was headed north on Cascades Parkway in a PT Cruiser when the driver of a southbound Ford Expedition crossed the center median and collided with her.

The male driver apparently had a medical emergency, according to police. He and a passenger were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The woman, of Sterling, was pronounced dead at the scene.
