Woman Wards Off Attacker In Sterling: Police

A woman warded off an unknown man who attacked her early Tuesday morning in Sterling, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

STERLING, VA—A woman warded off an unknown man who attacked her early Tuesday morning in the area of Grammery Terrace and Oakgrove Road, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. He's described as 6-0, 260 pounds and wearing a black sweatshirt and work boots.

Shortly after 3 a.m., the woman got out of her car and began walking in the aforementioned area. A man suddenly ran toward the scene and grabbed her. Undaunted, she hit him, causing him to lose his grip and allowing her to escape. Anyone with information is urged to call police at 703-777-0407.
