Woman Who Flipped Off Trump Projected Winner Of Loudoun Race
Juli Briskman, a cyclist who gave President Trump's motorcade the finger in 2017, won a seat on the Loudoun County board of supervisors.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — A cyclist who gave President Donald Trump and his motorcade a one-finger salute as it was making its way to his golfing resort in Virginia, and then lost her job, is the projected winner of a seat on the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors, according to unofficial results.
With 99 percent of precincts reporting, Juli Briskman defeated incumbent Suzanne Volpe, 5586-4721. Briskman, a Democrat, challenged Volpe for a seat on the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors, Algonkian District.
In October 2017, Briskman was photographed flipping off the Trump motorcade in Northern Virginia. A photographer posted a viral picture of Briskman giving the finger from her bicycle as the motorcade passed. Briskman told her employer, Akima LLC, a government contractor in Herndon, that she was the woman in the photo, leading to her abrupt firing.

The reasons for Briskman's run are detailed on her campaign website, where she points out she's been deeply involved in the community for some two decades. She adds that when she sees something that's not right, she does something about it.
"We live in a great community and we deserve a Board of Supervisors that does more to support our schools, first responders, working women, and families. That's why I'm running," Briskman said.
