• Virginia Tech veterinary hospital is expanding (wvtf.org) — Virginia Tech's veterinary teaching hospital in Blacksburg is getting a major $63 million expansion and renovation that will keep the facility open through construction. The project will add and remodel tens of thousands of square feet, allowing more complex animal cases and better training space for students. Work is expected to finish by 2029, strengthening a key local service hub.
